After a busy 2018, Dave East has had a quite start to 2019. East dropped four projects last year including Karma 2, which was his most popular project of the year, reaching 41 on the US billboards. East also dropped 'Beloved' with fellow New-Yorker, Styles P.
East has been featured on a few tracks here and there but apart from his latest video titled ‘Wit Me’, he hasn't released much.
The New York native has spent his time time working on his highly anticipated debut album which is expected to drop this month.
Back in November, Dave East announced that his debut album would drop in the first quarter of 2019, and would be titled, ‘Survival’. Fans of the Harlem emcee have been anticipating East’s debut album ever since.
Thankfully, the album seems to be on its way any day now.
East has been teasing the album release since late April. He has also been posting videos and photos to his Instagram story alluding to the album's release date. Although, he never gives the exact day in May that it will be released.

A week ago, the Paranoia artist announced that his album was officially done on Instagram.
In the span of the last week he has had multiple people in and out of the studio listening to the final project.
East’s parents and Fabolous were in the studio last week giving the album a listen.

Not much is known about the tracks or artists that may be included on the album apart from the track ‘Wit Me’ which could potentially be included.
I think it is safe to say that ‘Survival’ will be released in the coming days so keep your eyes open.
